Day 342 of 365 - 4th of December, 2011
Still flying.
Got to LA and did all the customs stuff like fingerprints and what not. I enjoyed it hehehe. Then we had to walk to terminal 6 we got to walk on some funky fresh LA soil, which I miss so dearly.
Then we got our flight to Houston, someone sprayed some sort of gas that made everyone nauseous and sleepy so consequently in the first fifteen minutes of the flight I fell asleep on the guy next to me…so embarrassing. I don’t even remember falling asleep, I just remember waking up to some horrible turbulence and then the guy and I got talking and we became instant BFFL. He was from Mexico and his name was Carlos and he had so much to talk about! It kept me entertained for the flight.
We got to Houston and the first thing we saw was all these shoe shining chairs and people were actually getting their shoes shined! Lol. One guy was getting his really cool cowboy boots shined. Then we had half an hour to get food so….WE WENT TO STARBUCKS! and Starbucks have so many more Christmas drinks than in Australia. I got the pumpkin spice latte which I had been dying to try since ever ‘ckdnsksnskrmdodnrei it was delicious! I also went to a gourmet food shop and got a salad and an apple because there was no way I was eating the plane food…
We boarded our flight to Quito, Ecuador and because it’s not a full flight we’ve had the chance to move our seats around to sit next to friends! Which has been really nice. The food came out and thank god I got the salad because it was a choice of an overly processed chicken burger or beef burrito. URRRTGHH.
Now we are about two hours out of Ecuador and I am so so so tired but just waiting to sleep in the hotel when we get there! I miss sleeping on a bed!
Now I’m listening to Saving Grace (Take Two) and attempting to find some comfort for the remainder of this flight. Toodles
